The client is one of the world's largest recycling, environmental service and raw materials company.

Job Location:
Jieyang, Guangdong Province, China

Reporting to:
General Project Manager

Responsibilities:
Technical project leader of the Jieyang team on site for construction, installation, on site
management and commissioning of Mechanical Biological Treatment plants
? Lead the MBT Engineering Team on site
? Evaluation of basics, preliminary and strategic planning, designing, approval and
implementation and creation of Basic Engineering, FEED and EPC tender documentation
? Support CTO in Basic Technology Selection
? Counterpart and interface to the German engineering team, to external consultants and
engineers as well as to construction companies, plant manufacturers and experts on site
? Planning and project execution of waste treatment projects in close collaboration with the CTO
? Cooperation with technical consultants and engineers
? Ensure Design Quality
? Controlling and supervision of construction companies and experts on site
? Lead technical discussions with EPCs & suppliers
? Supervision Detail Design Packages - EPC Design (AFC – Approved for Construction)
? Supervision of construction works, installation and commissioning
? Support Operations Manager in Commissioning & startup of the plants

Requirements:
? Master’s degree or equivalent in process- or mechanical engineering or civil engineering
? Several years of experience working in a similar position
? Experience in engineering, procurement and construction of large CAPEX projects (waste
treatment)
? Experience in realization of similar projects in China
? Fluent in English and Mandarin both verbally and written, ideally German
? Software skills in CAD & calculation tools
? Good IT literacy and a good understanding of financials
? Good knowledge of Mechanical Biological Treatment Technology
Analytic, strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with high level of process orientation
? Ability to rapidly grasp and structure complex processes without losing the whole out of sight
? Ability to work independently with a clear focus on cost, benefit and timelines
? A consolidated concept of leading as well as the ability to establish a relational level with
others and to motivate them
? High intercultural competence with a balanced relationship between assertiveness and
diplomatic skills
? Ability to communicate with people at all levels
? Highly motivated, enthusiastic and decisive
? Ability to keep calm under pressure
? Creative in problem-solving as well as quick decision-making abilities
? Willing to travel (national & international)
