Role Summary:
Project Manager integrates the total engineering effort over the total project life from inception to commercial operation, and leads and manages the project processes. Project Manager develops the engineering budget and is responsible for the capital investment & cost control as well as the project engineering schedule.
Primary Role Responsibilities :
1 As Project lead of particularly complex projects with strategic impact, independently and self-dependently accomplish projects such as new investments, reconstruction, expansion and optimization existing plant/constructions
2. Set up and manage contracts in Chinese and English
3. Monitoring of planning, calculation, creation of specification. Monitoring the handling of the approval and order process. Monitoring the production of instruments and machinery (quality, on-time delivery). Monitoring the installation.
4. Be responsible for project controlling, scheduling, quality management.
5. Champion company core values and role models safe, environmentally protective, ethical, and teamwork-oriented behaviors for project team.
6. Manage the building site. Launch the plant till it is free of faults and passes the acceptance test including delivery
7. Safeguard results on schedule, cost and quality. Provide support to start-up.
8. Manage interface between process disposer, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, QS, SHE
9. Lead interdisciplinary project teams. Keep and implement lawful standards and regulations as well as internal regulations
10. Drive capital project work processes and practices and provides mentoring for Integrated Project Team Members who may not be familiar with these practices.
11. Perform other projects or initiaties required by the company.
Quality Responsibility:Based on all related Quality requirements (cGMP, ISO etc.) of all target markets.
Safety Responsibility:Is knowledgeable and complies with all pertinent safety policies, rules and regulations.
Requirements:
? Master in Process Engineering and perennial work experience in projects for chemical industry and pharma constructions
? Minimum of 14 years work experience on engineering and/or operations leadership. Minimum of 9 years work experience as project manager/engineer.
? Strong leadership skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks; willing to delegate.
? Good understanding of the business, the technology, and manufacturing process.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills in English ( not less than CET 6).
? Understanding and appreciation for the various functions and disciplines involved in capital projects and capability to build the strong engineering team necessary for project success.
? Experience and expertise in capital project process and operations.
? Results oriented and disciplined to follow project processes and best practices. High one's own initiative, classification and team spirit.
? Understanding of capital and non-capital funding practices and project cost control and estimating techniques.
? Ability to use integrated schedule to establish task sequencing and critical path.
? Understanding of methodology to develop economics and cost control.
? Good knowledge of the necessary project management tools: SAP, Microsoft Project or Primavera.
? Be self-motivated. Willingness and ability to mentor/train others as well as willing to learn from others
Working Conditions:
Office environment; domestic and international travel; manufacturing or lab environment on occasion basis.
