1. Position purpose/Summary statement (defines the major functions/purpose of the position)
Production and QC Manager is responsible and accountable in leading the production and QC team ensuring the quality and integrity of Deckers’ footwear products that are produced and shipped out from partner production factories while ensuring factory’s adherence to Deckers’ ESC standards. He is also tasked to monitor production orders loading / schedule versus ex-factory commitments and coordinate with factory management, suppliers and Deckers’ commercialization and planning teams in ensuring timely shipment of orders.
2. Job Scope
a) Setting up and auditing of production process controls as well as quality assurance and tollgates for incoming materials and in-process production .
b) Supervision of Finished goods finals inspection to ensure compliance to Deckers’ Final Inspection Guideline and AQL.
c) Review and monitoring of production order loading/schedules and status as well as leading and assisting factory to meet shipping commitments.
d) Monitoring and implementation of ESC compliance.
e) Training (and retraining) and Coaching of Deckers’ (new) QC inspectors as well as assisting the factory in training their QC staff.
f) Administrative supervision of the Production and QC team as well as leading his team in setting up and meeting team goals.
3, Education/Experience:
- Minimum 7 years working experience in a reputable footwear company in either production, commercialization, development, or quality control.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory or management experience .
- Comprehensive knowlegede of footwear manufacturing processes.
- Good verbal and written English communication skill.
- Computer literate
- Preferably college graduate or footwear technical school graduate.
