Mission 1: Prospect and negotiate with suppliers
The goal of prospecting is to look for new suppliers that fit to the requirements of costs,delays and quality. In order to achieve that, he/she will have to:
- Carry out a continuous searching of our suppliers
- Identify new suppliers ( for every family )
- Audit our suppliers
- Qualify our suppliers
The goal of negotiation is to make agreements/partnerships with suppliers that fit the requirements of costs, delays and quality. In order to achieve that, he/she will have to:
- Negotiate prices with our suppliers.
- Negotiate terms of payment, incoterms and currency.
- Negotiate annual or pluri-annual framework agreements.
Mission 2: Buy
The goal is to deal with all the purchases necessary to the production according to the rules Purchase Group.
By delegating and under the responsibility of the chief executive of the subsidiary, the mission consists in:
- Buy finished goods or semi-finished goods
- Buy delivery service (maintenance, subcontracting, consulting, delivery service…).
- Buy packaging.
- Buy Transport
- Buy travels
- Buy consumable
- Buy replacement parts for the maintenance of industrial equipment.
Mission 3: Ensure the interface between suppliers and the factory
The objective is to ensure the interface between suppliers and the different concerned services (Production, Logistics, Engineering and general services)
By delegating and under the responsibility of the chief executive of the subsidiary, the mission of interfacing between suppliers and the factory consists in:
- Ensure that the terms of contract are applied.
- Follow purchasing overall and ensure the delays are respected.
- Implement our quality rules with suppliers.
- Communicate and implement necessary corrective actions
- Implement with the support of Quality Direction the control actions to implement at the suppliers’
- Pass and negotiate the non-conformity reports with suppliers.
- Implement performance indicators of suppliers.
Mission 4: Manage in order to
- Train.
- Motivate.
- Retain.
To achieve that, he/she will have to:
- Organize working meetings.
- Fix objectives.
- Ensure via regular points that the objectives are reached.
- Carry out individual interview.
Qualification expectations:
- 5 years experience in purchasing
- Ability to understand, track and manage a purchasing milestones in a project
- Management skills
- Good English speaking
