Senior Finance Analyst (Yangzhou)
Job Description
This position will drive and re-engineer the financial planning and analysis function of the Group’s business in Asia by applying analytical and data synthesis skills to deliver key business insights to senior management.
Location Specifics
Based in Yangzhou and reporting to Director of Manufacturing Finance in Hong Kong. This role works collaboratively with Corporate Finance team in the US and Finance team in Chinese factories.
Major Responsibilities
- Work closely with operational management including sales teams for sales forecast review and forecast improvement; with factory operations team for various factory productivity and costing reports and analysis
- Design, re-engineer and automate key management reports through IT tools to support business stream performance measurement
- Set up performance metrics for various departments to drive business performance
- Drive and prepare annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process for Asia business
- Analyze financial performance through financial and variations analysis and make recommendation for improvement
- Perform analysis to drive improvement in business performance and cash flow through improved return and collection
- Prepare presentations for quarterly business performance review
- Drive best practice tools and business process improvements throughout the organization
- Meet corporate and management reporting requirements
- Drive customer margin and profitability analysis, costing analysis, etc.
- Involve in various ad hoc projects for data analysis
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education Background:
? Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance, or economics required
? English speaking/reading at a business-level proficiency required
? MBA a plus but not required
Experience Needed:
? Minimum 5 years relevant experience in accounting and financial analysis
? Strong experience of financial analysis, metrics, forecasting and reporting is required, and most important
? Big four Accounting experience is a plus but intensive analysis skillset is considered more critical
? Experience with multinational and/or manufacturing companies is preferred
? Candidates with some history of US-based work experience highly-preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Needed:
? Strong analytical and presentation skills
? Hands-on data handling and analysis skills especially Excel
? Ability to think strategically with hands-on approach to resolving commercial complexities
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both English and Mandarin)
? Strong leader yet a team player
? Able to challenge management and drive changes
? Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
? Self-initiated and directed and be able to work independently
