Job description
Candidate needs to demonstrate leadership and could effectively bridge IBM worldwide System z resources and location teams to roll out new initiative, advocate System z DB2 data sharing value proposition during the competitive customer engagements.
Candidate should have in-depth technical skills and thorough understanding of System z DB2 data sharing solutions based on IBM Parallel Sysplex,Coupling Facility,Storage system, as well as the capability of performance analysis and problem determination. It is also important that candidate can customize DB2 data sharing solutions based on specific customer requirements. In addition, candidate should be capable of implementing DRDA connections among DB2 subsystems on multi-platforms.
Candidate will be responsible for DB2 related post-sales technical support, new solution promotion, architecture design, solution demo, proof of concept tasks, and major clients' satisfaction issue handling, etc.
Have 5+ years working experience on System z DB2 data sharing solutions and project delivery.
With 1+ years working experience in Global or Cross-country role
DB2 data sharing implementation experience and large data center DBA experience is preferred
Required Skills
In-depth or hands-on experience in the following areas:
- System z DB2 data sharing installation and customization
- Daily operation and various DB2 administrative procedures
- Performance Monitoring and tuning
- Problem identification and basic shooting
- Database structure design and complex queries via DB2 SQL
- Familiar with DB2 V9 and V10 new features
- Capable of setting up DB2 migration/upgrade plan and conduct/fulfill migration tasks
- Good Mandarin and English (both written and spoken)
- Good communication skills and strong leadership
- Good Consultative Skills
- Able to work independently or as a good team member
