Job description
Candidate needs to demonstrate leadership and could effectively bridge IBM worldwide System z resources and location teams to roll out new initiative, advocate System z HA/DA value proposition during the competitive customer engagements.
Candidate should have in-depth technical skills and thorough understanding of System z DB2 data sharing solutions based on IBM Parallel Sysplex,Storage system,WLM & DFSMS Systems, as well as the capability of performance analysis and long distance communications bandwidth analysis. It is also important than candidates can customize DB2 data sharing solutions based on specific customer requirements. In addition, candidate should also have the capability to support DB2 data sharing solutions in a mixed z/OS, z/VM and zLinux environment.
Candidate will be responsible for post-sales technical support, new solution promotion, architecture design, solution demo, proof of concept, and major account client satisfaction issue handling etc.
Have 5+ years working experience on System z DB2 data sharing solutions and projects.
With 1+ years working experience in Global or Cross-country role
GDPS solution experience and other vendor DB2 data sharing solution experience is preferred.
Required Skills
In-depth or hands-on experience in the following area:
- z/OS HCD planning and implementation
- Well understanding of System z, Parallel Sysplex.
- IBM DS8000 series copy services planning and implementation
- GDPS implementation skill
- Capability to design the DB2 data sharing solution based on GDPS/PPRC, XRC, MGM, Incremental Resync, and possible combinations, etc
- Capable for doing DASD performance study, and bandwidth analysis.
- Capable to quickly catch up the new technology updates on DB2 data sharing solution.
- Familiar with DWDM and other remote replication solutions/technologies is more preferred.
- Familiar with IBM VTS and the GDPS extension to Tape DR is also a good addition.
Good command of Mandarin and English (both written and spoken)
Good communication skills and strong leadership
Good Consultative Skills
Ability to work independent and as a part of team
