Day to Day Responsibilities:
Develop and write SOS/SOP for coatings as well as develop and write quality documentation to control coating characteristics
Lead CM’s process engineers, frequently interacts with CM managers, and work with internal cross-functional team to drive improvement in CM site
Apply technical knowledge of equipment and process capabilities to improve manufacturing operations and product/process cost.
Routine monitoring of equipment and process performance, defect analysis and defect reduction.
Must be able to plan, execute and analyze data from improvement projects
Identify, respond to, and characterize equipment/process and quality/defect issues; implement root cause solutions to those issues
Education & Experience
BA, ME, or Ph.D. in materials or coating areas
5+ years of in-depth experience in a thin film manufacturing environment particularly with sputter, thermal, e-beam, IAD coating processes. Must have optical coating experience.
Solid background on correlation of process and coating equipment hardware.
Understanding of SPC & DMAIC.
