Position Summary:
Direct the overall Human Resources function and establish appropriate strategies, policies and programs to maximize the organization’s Human Resources potential. Serve as an internal consultant and business partner with management on human resources issues impacting the performance of manufacturing operation and all support functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
l Implement the Human Resource strategy to include: Attracting, developing, engaging and retaining employees to achieve the current and future business objectives.
l Function as a key contributing member of the management leadership team.
l Develop HR programs and initiatives to foster a culture of engagement and flexibility to meet the plant and company’s business goals.
l Ensure the organization’s current and future human resource requirements are met through programs and initiatives including: Recruitment, training and development, compensation, benefits, performance management, change management, organizational development, organization design, HR administration, payroll, employee communications and employee/labor relations.
l Direct the staffing process to ensure efficiency including the identification and availability of employees to satisfy current and projected ‘critical skills’ in the future.
l Partner with functional managers to develop and implement HR strategies to add value and meet their business needs. Foster effective communication between employees and management.
l Lead, coach, evaluate and develop a team of human resource and administrative professionals to deliver customer focused services and initiatives.
l Ensure that the organization’s HR strategy is implemented effectively within established budgets and in compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.
l Handle relationships with external vendors, consultants and government agencies as required.
l Assist managing administrative initiatives for the overall organization to ensure staff, equipment, supplies, and other resources are utilized effectively and budgeted for appropriately.
l Support all EH&S initiatives to ensure our employees work on a safe environment.
Qualifications:
l Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with at least 10 years of HR experience. At least 5 years at the management level; experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
l Able to identify, drive and integrate change management initiatives into the organization and function as the catalyst for the change.
l Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
l Ability to speak & write English and Chinese
l Must possess confidence, influencing and partnering skills to support the business management team.
l Strong organizational, analytical and decision making skills
l Experience in the following HR disciplines: Compensation & benefits, employee relations, HRIS, performance management, talent acquisition, change management, organization design and training & development.
l Experience administering policies and procedures
l Ability to build, inspire develop and lead the HR team through demonstrated leadership skills
