Summary
The candidate for this position will need to coordinate with factory labs to monitor the materials and finished products testing, gather and analyze the monthly summary of the test reports, and take necessary actions for improvement. Also he/she will have to assist with the lab manager to work out the apparel test methods and standards as the guideline for the manufacturers to follow up.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help the brand create appropriate test methods and standards for materials/finished products of Deckers apparel and handbag.
- Ensure that all factory labs are using the Deckers test methods and interpreting all the test methods the same way.
- Regularly visit the factory labs to audit and monitor if the factories have all the materials and finished products physical properties tested or not, corrective actions program should be followed in case there is improper implementation found during the audit.
- Assists in training the factory lab technicians on Deckers Test Methods, set an examination of written and operation practice during the training to make sure they fully understand.
QUALIFICATIONS
be College graduate
2 years+ work experience in Apparel/Footwear physical laboratory
? Excellent communication skills, written and oral, both in Native and English language;
? Computer literate;
? Much be able to always visit factories and suppliers in the country;
? Have good leadership ability.
? Communicate, discuss and provide technical information to suppliers which will help and guide them to do necessary improvement.
? Work with third party lab in establishing new test if test machine is not available in factory labs.
? Arrange the testing needs from the departments of: material team, innovation, development commercialization and production.
