CDC(Cloud Development Center) R&D Senior Manager, China

The Cloud BU is responsible for driving our cohesive set of Cloud offerings in an aggressive way for HPE to expand our reach to new markets and new customers.
China HPE is establishing a Cloud Development Center to deliver local industry solution offerings and technical capabilities to meet market requirements and client’s expectation. The manager of the solution R&D development team is a critical role for the success of this organization.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
1. Provides direct and ongoing leadership for an organization of multiple individual contributors designing and developing new products, enhancements and updates and managing projects for systems software.
2. Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
3. Engages with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.
4. Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
5. Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
6. Provides overall people-care management for direct reports, including, hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.
Education and Experience Required:
1. First level university degree or equivalent experience required.
2. Advanced university degree preferred.
3. Typically 10 or more years of related work experience, including 5 or more years of people management experience.
4. Prefer to have MNC working experience , especially for US company
Knowledge and Skills
1. Advanced leadership skills, including coaching, teambuilding, conflict resolution, and management.
2. Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
3. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
4. Experienced in managing human capital across geographies to drive workforce development and achieve desired results.
5. Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English and local language.
6. Superior business acumen, technical knowledge of multiple business units, and extensive knowledge in applications and technologies.
7. Advanced multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
8. Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
9. Strong understanding of HPE’s policies and processes.
