Purpose:

To assure that the developed and manufactured products meets the requirements of accepted practices, legislation, prescribed rules and regulations, specified standards, or

the terms of a contract.

Responsibilities:

1. To validate new products, preparing compliance statements etc. 

2. To manage product and market validation files and provides reports

3. To answer product legislation related questions from customers and employees.

4. Day to day intervention with respect to urgent compliancy requests and incidents.

5. To perform and be the owner of risk assessment in case of potential safety incidents.

6. To carry out Product Compliance audits of the organization.

7. To stay informed of relevant product legislation and related technical standards. Identify, interpret and provide guidance on applicable safety, performance, environmental standards and regional/country regulations for the business.

8. Set up, drive and improve continually a system that assures knowledge w.r.t. new and changing compliancy requirements into the BG/BU and share with all relevant stakeholders.

9. To develop the medium term policy for his product compliance sub discipline, and to process the results into a product compliance vision/roadmap…

10. To maintain a network with specialists and managers within and outside the company in order to maintain, expand and secure the fundamental and applied knowledge in order to remain up to date with the relevant governmental and legislative developments.

Requirements:

· Education: Bachelor degree in EE / ME; min.

· Experience: 5 years’ experience in quality, development and/or compliancy of consumer brand electronic products.

· Functional competencies:

o Experience with product regulations and translating these into effective procedures to assure compliance.

o Technical and application knowledge wrt Lighting regulatory framework, knowledge of safety standards IEC 60598/UL 1598/UL 153 are advantages.

o Technical knowledge on luminaries product reliability environment are advantages.

· Personal Competencies:

o Fluent English in oral and written. Good communication, presentation skills and stakeholder management.

o Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point is necessary

o Strong analytical skills; Pro-active and independent; Customer oriented; Quality-conscious.
