JOB SUMMARY:
Account representative is responsible for promoting the CSA marks to the Chinese manufacturers. Under the direction of the Sales Supervisor, the Account representative pursues the assigned sales target from the assigned scope and geographic area, which in turn ensure continued growth to achieve revenue objectives for CSA Certification and Testing services in China. Account representative will serves as the primary customer contact in the development of new accounts or the development of new opportunities with established accounts.
RESPONSIBILITY:
1.Independently accesses new customers including manufacturers and agents to promote the CSA Certification and Testing services, with the assigned territory, using various telemarketing (by telephone, mail or fax) and direct solicitation methods in order to meet the sales target.
2. Maintains the good relationship with existing customers and keeps customers’ loyalty to CSA services by determining customer needs and expectations. Seeks value-added opportunities to increase interest and promote the use of new CSA services. Contacts former CSA customers who are lost to other agencies to attempt to regain work.
3. Responds promptly to all inquiries and visits with customers as necessary to present information regarding CSA services. Prepares written proposals of cost for services for clients by cooperating with the technical staff and using applicable questionnaires and worksheets. Sends proposals to clients and conducts follow-up calls to provide further information, and answer questions. Documents activities for reporting and further follow-up. When appropriate, works with the respective operations staff in preparing documents to set up an application.
4. Assists marketing staff to promote CSA services at assigned trade shows, exhibits, conferences and client presentations. Identifies and communicates business opportunities and competitive trends. Executes assigned market strategies for gaining the business opportunities in these marketing events, such as obtains contacts information from the customers and provides initiative contacts to the potential customers after the marketing events.
5. Maintains accurate and complete customer files for the assigned customers and territory, including the input of new/existing client information into the sales database. Provides all required reports to the Sales Manager on a weekly, and monthly basis. Additional reporting may be requested as needed. Provides periodic written reports on calls, customer contacts, proposals, quotes, expenses, travel and tradeshow activities, as well as oral presentations as required.
6. Provides ongoing feedback and recommendations to the Sales Manager for the updating market trend and the improvements on the sales activities in the sales meetings. Assists the Sales Manager to conduct sales strategic analysis and planning if required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related fields is preferred.
2. CET 6 or equivalent, good in English and Chinese both in speaking and writing.
3. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database applications.
Experience:
1. Minimum 3 years sales or marketing experience in Lighting area is preferred.
2. Prior experience with sales tracking system.
SKILL:
1. Ability to work independently for sales generation and/or customer account management (telemarketing, marketing, sales); initiative and ability to develop new customer contacts.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication and customer services skills.
3. Responsive and pleasant when dealing with external and internal customers and co-workers. Good team player to work cooperatively with others in tradeshows, exhibits, conferences and presentations.
4. Well-organized and detail oriented.
5. Flexible in schedule and time management.
6. Good customer complaint resolution skills; working with the manager and other operations/technical staff to identify problems, investigate concerns and suggest solutions.
WORKING CONDITION:
Environmental Working Condition:
1. Normal office and out-of-office environment.
TRAVEL:
1. Frequent travel within China and within the assigned territory up to 50% of working days for customer visiting.
2. Occasionally travel abroad for tradeshows, exhibits and conferences.
3. May be required to drive to visit customers.
