The Consumption Technician is accountable to:
##Ensure pattern making & grading are according to the measurement list (M-list), art work & sample
##Estimate Consumption Calculations by maintaining marker quality & efficiency
##Settle consumptions with the supplier during Quotation stage, according to business needs
##Problem solving to secure consumption during bulk production
##Work within timeline to secure Time of Delivery (TOD)



Main Responsibilities



Consumption Making
##Analyze the consumption request and make sure all the information is clear. If not, ask for clarification.
##Analyzed risk factor during pattern/consumption making to secure fit & bulk production.
##Be pro-active and suggest alternatives in order to reach best the consumption with quality & efficiency in mind
##Consider the supplier’s facilities when securing the consumption for bulk production.
##Support & advise the suppliers to find the best solution to reduce fabric wastage and to achieve maximum fabric use
##Work together with merchandisers, technicians and seniors on all requests



Consumption Control
##Work closely with the team (merchandisers, technicians, seniors) & suppliers to reach the best consumption
##Visit suppliers to check the reality of consumption during bulk production
##Provide options to teams & suppliers when problems arise.



Cooperation with Production Teams
##Strengthen cooperation with Quality Control, technicians and merchandisers in order to secure best garments for bulk production taking into consideration shade and shrinkage management.
##Strengthen cooperation with various teams in order to secure best consumption for bulk production
##Share problems and learnings with the rest of the teams to improve performance



Cooperation with the Suppliers
##Good knowledge of the suppliers’ technical level (machinery as well as employees skills) and strengths and weaknesses.
##Encourage the suppliers to become more active in driving and maintaining good consumption solutions & to ensure best final consumption
##Educate and support suppliers with the aim of improving H&M’s consumption efficiency.



Education and Experience requirements
##Pattern making using Lectra CAD system preferred
##Textile/ready wear related education preferred
##Free hand program
##Textile/garment production work experience
##Pattern & consumption making experience using Lectra/Modaris/Diamino
##Experience in a similar position in supplier or representative office preferred
##Sample room experience preferred
##Good knowledge of Lectra/Modaris & Diamino
##Good command of English
##Able to use all Microsoft applications




Location is Shanghai and this employment is on local contract terms.
