Summary of Client:
Our client is a famous American company who designs, manufactures heating elements.
Reporting Lines:
Department: Sales & Marketing Department
Report to: Vice President of Headquarters and Local General Manager (Americans)
Key Responsibilities:
> Manage the daily activities of the local Sales Department, including:
1. Resolve customer issues regarding sales and service.
2. Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
3. Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of manufactured products and services.
4. Assist with the determining of product pricing for new products and recommend price changes on existing products as necessary.
5. Negotiate product pricing with customers to maintain company profit margins, yet enhance product sales.
6. Suggest and plan activities that will involve and represent the company at trade shows and trade associations to promote products.
7. Confer with potential customers regarding their needs and advise customers on types of products to purchase.
8. Make decisions and solving problems by analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.
9. Assist with the development of sales and marketing policies and procedures.
10. Lead by example and maintain a high level of honesty and integrity among local staff.
> Manage sales department efforts in a cost conscious and proactive manor:
1. Participate in the development of departmental and sales annual budget.
2. Analyze and respond to financial activities of the department.
3. Maintain accurate records of correspondences with customers and corporate activities.
4. Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
5. Track cost of precious metals and advise and negotiate surcharges in accordance with company policy to recover potential losses.
6. Participate in local team activities to improve efficiency and cost down projects that will ultimately reduce costs and improve our competitive edge.
7. Develop short, medium and long term departmental objectives and monitor / evaluate performance to ensure that objectives are achieved.
8. Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
9. Examine procedures and recommend changes to save time, labor, and other costs and to improve quality control and operating efficiency.
> Interact with management team and staff regarding sales and customer needs and issues:
1. Confer with team members, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and assist with determining corrective action.
2. Direct clerical staff to keep records, prepare quotations, complete BOM’s, credit collections, etc..
3. Communicate with persons outside the organization, representing the organization to customer, the public, government and other external sources.
4. Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates, providing information by telephone, in written form, email, or in person.
5. Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others both internally and externally, and maintaining them.
> Maintain a high level of foresight regarding conditions that surround our business;
1. Keep up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
2. Obtain information by observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
3. Attend meetings, trade shows, conferences, conventions and seminars to network with people in our industry and to keep current on potential new opportunities for our business.
Job Requirements:
Education: University Degree required.
Experience:
1. 3-5 years progressive, related experience in account management, supervisory or management role, preferably with a multi-national company.
2. 8-10 years experience in sales & marketing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (non-physical)
1. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
2. Negotiation, organization, and planning skills.
3. Solid persuasion skills to coax others to change their minds and behaviors.
4. Social perceptiveness, being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
5. Originality, the ability to come up with unusual or clever ideas about a given topic or situation, or to develop creative ways to solve a problem
6. Time Management .
7. Ability to deal with high levels of stress.
8. Problem solving ability .
9. Team Oriented Personality.
10. People Oriented Interpersonal Skills.
11. Verbal & Written Communication Skills, fluent in both Chinese and English.
12. Competent computer skills proficient with all elements of Microsoft Office.

1. Visual Acuity to see small details.
2. Physical stamina to work overtime, 8+ hours per day, 5+ days per week as required.
3. Hearing proficiency to facilitate communication.
4. Ability to travel both locally and internationally
