Job scope and responsibilities:
Detail technical Due diligence of Solar PV Plants with experience on following:
1. Solar PV technology
1) System level Knowledge of state of the art technology related to solar PV Ground mount systems, PV panels, Grid tie inverters, AC interconnection & DC system
2. Bidding Support
1) Provides technical support to Business Development team for quality due diligence, Energy modeling, preparation of complete Detailed Project Report, contracts, specifications, reviewing tender documents etc.
2) Preparation of Technical architecture based on the tender documents
3) Review of Bid documents like PPA , RFS etc
4) Provide technical Pre-bid queries
5) Propose various choices & their benchmarking for every Bid
6) Work closely with services team to process the factual data to support yield estimates.
7) Attending discussions with Client/Client’s consultant/independent engineers for optimizing the cost of financing & improving yield predictions
8) Support land selection process & completing Risk Review for Bid submission.
9) Keep close track on product roadmaps to propose optimize solutions
3. Engineering
1) Expertize on various PV system configurations like Fix tilt, seasonal tilt, single axis & Duel axis trackers.
2) Knowledge of SLDs for LV & MV switchgears
3) Knowledge of Technical requirements for LV & MV Switchgears, Transformers, UPS, Cables etc. and review of the vendor drawings.
4) Follow internal D&E processes including all database and report management activities.
5) Subject matter expert for system component selection, module and inverter specifications and system sizing, and overall design quality and code checks. Coordinate with stake holders to meet required approvals and provide internal updates.
6) Provide cross-coordination for design updates, field suggestions, specifications, for service and or construction related items
Job Requirements:
1. Education
1) Masters or Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Energy or PV engineering
2. Job Related Experience:
1) Work experience with top Solar PV Developer / Wind developer or EPC companies in China (minimum 5 years)
2) Subject matter expert for Design & engineering of PV power plant Ground mount & Roof top
3) Design engineering of Wind farms will be an added advantage
3. Knowledge:
1) Related codes and standards – Chinese codes CCC and international standards e.g. IEC, ASTM, BS, IS, ASME, DIN.
2) System level Knowledge of state of the art technology related to solar PV panels, grid tie inverters, AC interconnection , DC system etc.
3) Related Tools and software like pvsyst, AutoCAD, Google sketup etc.
4) Related to statutory bodies, nodal agencies and utilities
4. Intellectual Competencies:
1) Mandatory to have strong written and oral communication skills in both Chinese & English
2) Ability to identify possible Risks, make decisions and take accountability
