Senior Network & Voice Engineer
Located in: Lansheng Building

It is responsible for engineering and operating WAN (Wide Area Network), LAN (Local Area Network), WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network), Data Center Networks and Avaya Voice system that support RRD Asia.
This position’s primary focus is on the region Asia Pacific, tasks and responsibilities may need to be executed and delivered across Asia Pacific
-Design and Engineering
? Compiling and analysing business requirements for related Telecommunication projects.
? Designingq complex networks.
? Designing, staging, configuring, implementing and supporting LAN, routing and/or switching hardware installations that may include VLAN (Virtual LAN), NAT/PAT (Network/Port Address Translation), IPSec (Internet Protocol Security), VPN (Virtual Private Network), TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), IP QoS (Internet Protocol Quality of Service) and ACL (Access Control List), 802.1X.
? Demonstrating good understanding of Wi-Fi Access point and WLAN Controller, specifically controlling multiple Access Points from a centralized WLAN controller.
? Validating wireless and networking features across multiple platforms and access technologies.
? Demonstrating specialized knowledge in and working knowledge of network technologies including Spanning Tree, BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), EIGRP (Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol) and emerging technologies.
-Deployment and Operation
? Planning, supporting and executing Network Upgrade, Change and Migration activities.
? Creating/Maintaining RRD network & voice documentation.
? Providing support for operational issues and/or problems.
? Providing support by troubleshooting and quickly resolving complex network & voice problems across a broad range of technologies. Acting as a focal point for complex network & voice problem resolution.
? Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network & voice environment.
Responsible to site business owners and working with 3rd party suppliers, global and local teams, in line with agreed processes, for all assigned critical and non-critical Telecommunications and Network infrastructure.
? Installation of network and other equipment (racking, stacking, patching) and handing it over to other teams for management (test & turn over).
? Ensure communication to relevant teams takes place and business users are aware of scheduled downtime if applicable.

Requirement of candidates
-Experience/Education:
? Tertiary qualifications and/or solid, comprehensive knowledge and experience in IT
? 5+ years of experience with network & voice design and/or operational support
? Hands on experience in WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n, features and authentication
? Experience designing and implementing physical and logical networks for large scale enterprise network & voice infrastructure installation or deployment projects
? Experience designing and supporting network in a manufacturing environment or large campus environment
? Experience in developing automation test scripts using Perl and/or Shell
? One or more certifications strongly desired: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
? Experience working with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
? Manufacturing systems or network experience desirable
