This is an exciting position for experienced software engineers combining leading-edge software engineering work with customer relations and influencing next generation Intel software products. In this position you will have the opportunity to create positive impact in fostering Intel's software eco-system.

In this role, you will be providing technical consulting for Intel developer products to our strategic customers in Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. Software Technical Consulting Engineers (TCE) focus on enabling external and internal customers to be successful with Intel platforms through use of Intel Software Technology and Products. You are expected to focus on performance client and visual computing (PCV) segment and help our customers make best out of Intel Developer Products. You will support analytical and analysis tools needed to develop, debug, and deploy applications and enterprise grade media solutions on Intel Xeon processor and Intel Core processor based platforms. You will work with business development managers to assess and understand the market dynamics to influence our next generation products' features and capabilities. In addition you will support business development activities such as pre and post sales trainings therefore you are expected to have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Technical consulting and training strategic customers remotely or on-site.
Troubleshooting software issues, documenting solutions and workarounds for distribution to internal and external customers.
Creating technical marketing collateral, knowledge base articles and customer case studies.
Developing, prototyping, and documenting code samples for technical trainings, seminars and webinar activities.
Working with customer applications and build tools (Microsoft Visual Studio*, Eclipse*, make, etc).
Soliciting customer feedback proactively on Intel developer products and technologies and ensure this feedback is understood by the appropriate teams within Intel.
Leveraging customer feedback in conjunction with appropriate use of internal investigations to drive the design requirements for the next generation of hardware and software.
Collaborating with product development teams in planning next generation product features.
Determining and defining best practices for Intel developer products and highlighting these to educate software developers at key industry events, onsite at ISVs.


Qualifications
Required:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
Programming experience with C/C++
Experience with application development on Linux* and Windows platforms
Experience with GPU/Heterogeneous programming
Experience with video processing, ideally via codec (e.g. AVC, HEVC, MPEG, etc) or video application development
Experience with at least one integrated development environment such as Visual Studio* or Eclipse*, or Android Studio*
Proven ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical people and excellent presentation skills for peers, senior management, partners, and customers.
Ability to travel about 10-20% a month.

Preferred:
Experience with Intel Media Server Studio or Media SDK products
Programming experience with programming with OpenCL.
Solid hardware and software architecture understanding, including knowledge of microprocessor technologies.
Experience with performance analysis and tuning is highly desirable.
Working knowledge of shell scripts and the GNU tool chain on Linux
Understanding of video broadcasters/infrastructure/cloud transcode technologies
