职位描述
Position Description
This position involves determination of manufacturability of glass, ceramic, optical/electronic devices and telecommunication products and improved effectiveness and cost of production processes through determinations regarding: Methods, equipment, layout, workflow, time standards, capacity utilization, process/equipment improvements, and process control systems. It involves the application of fundamental knowledge and methods for understanding physical phenomena to achieve specified characteristics and criteria for products and processes.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct process improvement experiments and manufacturing studies. Statistics analysis of manufacturing and experimental data to find process upset root causes and appropriate solution. Utilize data analysis techniques to reduce cycle- time, improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce loss, and implement improved processes and new products.
- Involve in process variability reductions, manufacturing capability and process control for consistent performance, material utilization, product quality, process optimization and cost reductions.
- Plan, execute & document experimental designs related to cycle time reduction, product & process development, loss reduction & increasing Mfg efficiency.
- Work on joint teams with production and technology to improve yield, throughput, and cycle time and process uptime improvements.
- Evaluate new materials/process for current or upcoming manufacturing, including benefit, cost, waste treatment and side-effect assessment.
- Participate in developing and implementing manufacturing processes that involve melting/forming (glass and ceramics), extrusion (ceramics), drawing(glass), heat treatment( firing/annealing of glass and ceramics), ware handling and finishing processes that involves-Cutting, grinding, polishing, washing and assembly/packaging of final products.
- Process engineering study and implementation of final products final inspection, data collection, and quality controls to meet customer specifications.
- Defining and analyzing equipment performance, capability and requirements, co-work on stage 2-3 testing and stage 4-5 technology migration.
