Purpose of the Position:
- MTE Asia would like to add one senior permanent resource of industrial engineering function in China to build LEAN competency pool.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Lead LEAN workshop and engage in LEAN initiatives on projects across Corning businesses.
- Adopt LEAN concept to streamline process to achieve process flow efficiency.
- Factory layout and capacity design and planning.
- Line balancing and work cell design.
- Inventory management and warehouse design.
- Logistics design and planning.

Project involved with:
- May require up to 70% travel for project support mainly in Asia region.
- Provide necessary coaching to junior MSE engineers to meet project deliverables.
- Communication with multiple stake holders such as manufacturing and engineering teams.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree and above in Industrial or Manufacturing engineering or related field of study


Required Skills
- Value Stream Mapping / LEAN manufacturing experience is required.
- Industrial engineering background with 10+ years IE experience and minimum 5 years of LEAN implementation experience.
- Manufacturing facility experience, ideally with responsibility of analyzing and implementing process/systems in a high technology manufacturing process environment.
- Strong project management skills in leading mid to large scale of cross function and country project.
- Strong capability to lead LEAN workshop to promote LEAN concept and approaches.
- Strong experience in process and equipment layout design in manufacturing expansion project.
- Able to read CAD drawings.

Desired Skills
- Factory simulation software experience.
- Linear programming/optimization experience.
- Audit experience in manufacturing systems.
- Good knowledge in Theory of Constraint (TOC)

Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and directly with project customers to scope out project scope, identify project requirements and deliverables.
- Team player, perform well as an individual subject matter expert contributor.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.


Travel Requirements: (National/International; 0-100%)
- Up to 70% domestic/international (mainly in Asia) travel depending on project(s) assigned.
