In order to supply these stores, H&M has production offices around the world that are responsible for placing orders, negotiating price, conducting quality checks and audits with our suppliers etc.

To cope with our future growth plan of beauty business, H&M Shanghai Production Office is looking for a Senior Merchandiser to our Accessory team in Asia. Below are the main responsibilities as a Senior Merchandiser.

TEAM LEADER OF MERCHANDISER TEAM
? Be a good role model and work on building the team to a top performing team.
? Evaluate, identify talents through dialogue talks. Make sure that all staff will develop and grow by giving & taking feedback.
? Have the general overview of the quotation and production merchandisers work performance and their need of education and support
? Support merchandiser team to be proactive and to take more initiatives & solve problems and share them with the rest of the group.
? Set and coordinate team goals in accordance with the goals for Beauty set by GPM
? Check & follow up the workload of development/quotation, production merchandisers and merchandiser assistants.
? Coordinate the team’s holidays, traveling and education.
? Work closely with Product Manger to secure capacity and capability management
? Supervise and control that we reach the Best Product through best price, quality and lead-times
? Make sure that customer and concepts are clear to everyone within the team
? Make sure the whole team is working with the same tools and methods.
? Supervise and support in the communication with buying office as well as with suppliers.
? Work closely with the Global functions for Beauty
? Work closely with GPQM to secure quality and ensure best final product

COOPERATION WITH OTHER TEAMS
? Strengthen cooperation with the PO teams in Europe as well as the Global team in Hong Kong in order to secure the work flow and the final product
? Share experience and problems with rest of the teams to improve and learn by our mistakes.

COOPERATION WITH BUYING OFFICE
? Create a good dialogue with buyers and section managers in Buying office.
? Encourage team to take more initiatives and to work proactively towards the Buyers and Designers

COOPERATION WITH H&M SUPPLIERS
? Good knowledge of H&M suppliers’ price, quality, capability & lead-times.
? Evaluate Suppliers performance together with the rest of the H&M team.
? Involve in capacity management (planning and evaluation) together with Product Manager.

Who are we looking for?
? Education and/or professional experience within the Beauty/Personal care industry
? Passion for Beauty and/or knowledge of the product performance/usage
? Knowledge of Production process and Supplier Management for Cosmetics/Personal care/Primary packaging
? Helicopter ability as well as detailed oriented
? Good communicator and team player
? An experienced leader with ability to coach, motivate others and making people grow
