Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible of driving and following up seasonal and in season new developments in parallel with the trend developer. It requires a strong technical background, good fashion understanding and a quick reaction keeping in mind price lead time and quality.
Main Responsibilities

？ Apply understanding of H&M seasonal trends from the trend developer report, the white room forecast and from the concepts trends to identify the right suppliers capabilities and skills.

？ Set up a routine to follow up risk assessment with suppler and with QA.

？ Inform and educate supplier about the trends hand in hand with the trend developer.

？ Follow up the developments agreed on with trend developer to ensure newness, qualities, and prices and lead time.

？ Drive the full process of trim development from trend research to final component based on initial coordination with the trend developer and trim development center.

？ Organize supplier visits with trend developer and visit the relevant ones.

？ Organize showroom with trend developer and trainee during beginning of season or showroom updating.

？ At the beginning of each season, drive the archiving system by filtering previous season fabrics and organizing the selection by type of fabrics and delegating to trainee further filing process.

？ Once a new development is received pass and explain hanger requirement to the trainee

？ Work on setting up the pants focus with trend developer.

？ Work closely with the Material teams, R&D’s, POPDS trend developer team to identify supplier strengths and capability and give feedback and discuss their performance.

？ Drives fabrics developments process look books, boards, fabric in line with teams timeline of the teams presentation in SEBO.

？ Update BLOG with the latest trims and developments with trend developer.

？ Prepare boards and hangers for the creative floor by coordinating with trend developer and outdoor & blazer team innovation team members.

？ Attend fabric fairs to meet existing suppliers and keep eye for the new trends and techniques and potential suppliers.





Education and Experience requirements
？ Graduation in textiles or specific material specialization and supplementary course in fashion is preferred
？ Preferably experience working in material / textiles development
？ Travel is required

Knowledge and Skill requirement

？ Knowledge and experience for at least 4 to 5 years in material/textiles development preferred
？ Technical knowledge in relation to weaving, printing, dyeing, finishing, treatments and washing techniques on woven.
？ Ability to drive own workload meet suppliers independently and make the right selections and developments within the different timelines.
？ Ability to drive own workload, work independently and come up with quick solutions.
？ Flexibility is a must.
？ Good trend understanding and forecasting ability.
？ Eye for fashion and quality
？ Detail oriented with strong communication , good team player
？ Computer literate in Microsoft office programs and Adobe Photoshop/illustrator/Sketch up is an advantage.
