Main job purpose:
? The Code Compliance Administrator is responsible for assisting the relevant Cluster and/or MCO Code Compliance Officers with the implementation of Unilever’s Code of Business Principles (the Code) and Code Policies.
? (S)he is part of the global Compliance Network, reporting to the Cluster/MCO Code Compliance Officer, and integrated into the Cluster Compliance organisation as well as the local MCO GC’s Legal organisation.
? (S)he will support the administration of investigations (e.g. cases arising from whistle blowers or ex officio) in the MCO and/or Cluster, including logging Code breach concerns in EthicsPoint and tracking progress.
? (S)he supports the MCO Code Compliance Officer in the performance of their other duties.

The Code Compliance Administrator must demonstrate the skills and proficiency needed to support the Code Compliance Officer in the delivery of global Unilever Roadmap for Code Compliance. This covers all areas of Unilever’s “winning with integrity” model – including Countering Corruption; Safeguarding Information; Respecting people and Engaging externally. Discretion and a keen interest in upholding ethical business conduct are essential.

Key Accountabilities:
The key accountabilities of the Code Compliance Administrator are as follows in respect of their designated MCOs:
PREVENTION
1. Education and Awareness, including co-ordination of:
? Monitoring of completion rates across MCO and Cluster education and awareness programmes and chasing employees where overdue
? Administration of new joiner awareness and on-boarding, leaver exit process
? Administration of annual declarations

DETECTION
2. Reporting channels
? Periodically testing all relevant hotlines to ensure that they remain accessible
3. Code compliance developments and focus areas:
? Help manage co-ordination of Code Compliance Self-Assessment and remediation plans
RESPONSE
4. Code case handling and Investigations (breaches):
? Logging of new cases into Unilever’s case management system
? Assisting the Compliance Officer with reporting on Code case statistics
? Identification of Reportable Matters to the Code Compliance Officer

GOVERNANCE
5. Compliance Officer Support:
? Assisting the Code Compliance Officer with preparation for the MCO or Cluster Code Committee meetings
6. Organisation
? Point of contact for any Code process related queries.

Experience required:
This role would be suited to a supervisor employee already working within the Code compliance/audit area or another Unilever function looking to broaden his/her knowledge of the business. A good grasp of compliance and related issues is essential as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Training and support will be provided to develop areas of expertise. The ability to engage with key stakeholders and to be an agent for change are essential in this.
