JOB SUMMARY

Mechanical engineer in Industrial Engineering is responsible for all equipments, fixtures and tooling used to successfully convert raw materials to products of highest quality for customer by providing strong technical support, calibration and regular maintenance services. He/she also provides customized Equipment /Tooling /Fixture (called Production Devices in following) design, qualification and validation service for product process engineer in NPI, transfer project and continuous improvement.

The primary duty of a Mechanical Engineer performance includes –

1. Customized Equipment /Tooling /Fixture Development and Management

1.1 Develop new Production Devices to support NPI, product transfer, automation and continuous improvement projects.

1.2 Build and qualify new Production Devices according to design requirement.

1.3 Validate Production Devices when changed

1.4 Manage Production Devices drawings update and keep the latest drawing in DCC.

1.5 Assist process engineer to improve manufacturing process efficiency through automation.

1.6 Source new Production Devices vendor

2. Daily Equipment /Tooling /Fixture Management:

2.1 Perform repair and troubleshooting for Production Devices related issues to minimize impact on production disruption

2.2 Maintain and Calibrate Production Devices to ensure their best uptime for production

2.3 Training Production Devices users including production operators and technicians

2.4 Collect equipment performance data and generate technical reports.

2.5 Track performance of Production Devices and work on equipment related continuous improvement initiatives.

2.6 Support Production Devices purchasing team and process engineer in sourcing new equipment

2.7 Validate equipment according to medical device validation procedure.

3. Other Duties and tasks assigned by the manager in support of business needs

REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATE

1. Bachelor degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering with at least 3years work experience.

2. Demonstrated solid academic and practical knowledge such as tolerance stack-up analysis, mechanical positioning principle in fixture design.

3. Proved professional skill with CAD SW such as AutoCAD and/or Pro-E.

4. A self-motivated teamwork player with good analytical problem solving skill.

5. Good English skill in writing, listening and speaking

6 Proficient in using Microsoft Office
