POSITION TITLE: Senior Accountant

REPORT TO : Senior Finance Manager – Budget & Planning

DEPARTMENT: Finance

LOCATION: Guangzhou

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Be one of the key team members to support / maintain an efficient planning, reporting and analysis system, to generate timely, accurate, and reliable information, and to provide high quality business and financial analysis for management team’s decision making so as to achieve the organization’s short and long-term financial goals.

SCOPE:

Financial: Provide analysis on company performance to identify risks and opportunities from top line to bottom line; Collaborate with multi-functions to deliver annual budget and estimate; Support monthly financial reporting with professional finance advice through in-depth understanding on income statement and balance sheet statement.

Other: Drive effectiveness and efficiency in business process

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate and support business review preparation which includes annual budgeting, monthly estimates and long-term strategic planning;

2. Coordinate with commercial team in accounting , analysis and budget preparation of advertising spending;

3. Participate in month end closing process to ensure financial data availability and accuracy;

4. Providing reporting support e.g. business commentary, dashboard, financial KPI reports etc.;

5. Act as a business partner and provide value-added support to consumer marketing proactively to ensure healthy performance on brand level;

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE:

Education: University degree in finance/accounting

Experience: 3 years & above Financial experience with knowledge in budget & planning areas. (working experience in FMCG industry is a plus)

Special Knowledge: SAP and database expertise. Competency in EXCEL

Competencies:

- Ability of priority setting and time management;

- Good cross-function collaboration skills, relationship building and negotiation skills;

- Business mindset;

- Willing to take challenge and work under pressure;

- Good command of English in both oral and written is required.
