职位描述

Key responsibilities
1. To manage and lead all aspects of design, implementation, testing and commissioning required to deliver the scope of the engineering project so as to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to project budgets and schedules.
2. Establish and manage schedules, plans, and budgets consistent with the proposed project financial goals for project management, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, shipment, collections, billings, testing, commissioning, training, warranty, documentation, subcontracts and purchases and all other project related activities.
3. Develop and implement plans to improve project results beyond established budgets and financial targets. Utilize clear metrics and measures for all team members to monitor and understand status on critical tasks and objectives.
4. Monitor, control and report monthly all financial aspects of the project consistent with the contract requirements and established project management procedures to attain established goals.
5. Establish and maintain customer interfaces to promote, monitor and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. To the fullest extent possible, anticipate and satisfy the customer’s needs, while operating within established policies, procedures and commercial guidelines.


Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
1. Electrical or Mechanical or other Engineering Degree
2. Relevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)
3. 10-12 years of relevant experience in the transit/rail industry.
4. Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role
5. The candidate needs to be detail conscious, calm under pressure, a strategic thinker; and possess strong leadership, technical and interpersonal communication skills.
6. Proven ability to select and recruit high caliber engineering talent
7. Track record of successfully managing an engineering design team
8. Knowledge of Strategic objectives of SYS, ability to identify development projects which will support those objectives.
9. Strong knowledge and experience in developing resource plans and budgets in short, medium, and long term
10. Experience of creating and developing strong knowledge communities
11. Experience of developing and managing knowledge management systems
12. Experience of continuous improvement tools and techniques
13. Knowledge and experience of risk assessment tools
14. Experience of developing, implementing and policing professional standards
15. Knowledge of ‘best’ practice techniques in engineering and design
16. Knowledge of engineering and design tools and software
17. Experience of developing engineers to professional, chartered or registered status
18. Experience of design estimating
