职位描述
Position Purpose
Data is foundation to all analytics. In our daily work, we deal with a big amount of data within Cargill and from the outside market. To efficiently use these data and create unique and timely insight, we need to manage the way we create, collect, store, report and utilize these data. The role of this position will be focused around data management, to help GTA team, BU commercial team and trading team on data related processes, and link China data with global needs by working with global data analyst and global teams. This position will lead cross BU data processes as well. This position will also handle some data report and modelling work.
Principal Accountabilities
70% Data management
- This role will partner with other analysts and traders to understand how data is currently used, understand what data is relevant to their needs, and also listen to their “pain points” to determine if data can be located that would improve their analytics, enhance their productivity, etc. This role will need to determine when to capture data that can be monetized, and forego data that has little value or cannot move the “P&L needle”
- Data collection, with the goal of automating the collection process systematically. Requires creative data harvesting solutions and also requires the ability to develop relationships with vendors, government agencies, internal customers, etc. Sometimes there is still manual data input needed, for example, vessel arrival update
- Regular report of data, and optimize the process on data reporting
- Provide data for projects and management
20% Database management
- Work with local IT and global data analyst to make sure all data is stored properly locally or in global database, and easily accessed by who need it
10% Facilitate modelling work of crop or demand analyst

Required Qualifications
? Master of Science; or Bachelor of Science in Ag Economics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or similar fields
? Experience with large sets of data, or database management in previous study or work
? Good at good at excel, and frequent user of Office Software; plus some statistics or database software knowledge
? Good communication skills and fluent English
? Patient, careful, and rational mindset
Preferred Qualifications
? Master of Science in Ag Economics, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or similar fields
? 1-2 years of working experience in data mining, data management or database management
? Power user of excel (strong formulation and macro skills); familiar with Access is a plus
? Advanced statistical modelling skills
? Curiosity mindset and quick learning ability
