Qualification Requirements
- Education: preferably textile/ready wear education, patternmaker
- Experience of 3 - 4 years from similar position in supplier or representative office
- Good knowledge of home product types such as: candle, ceramic ware, metal decoration, straw/rattan handy craft, partial of home textile (as inner cushion)
- Good Analytical Skills.
- Good Negotiation Skills.
- Good communication skills in English both verbal and writing
- Good computer skill
- Good teamwork
- Dynamic, creative, highly responsible.
Job Description
Product Control
- Being involved at sample stage.
- Conduct Sample/QC-file Hand over meeting.
- Attending Pre Production meetings on certain orders with Supplier/Factory.
- Performing Inspections using H&M tools and methods.
- Making sure all H&M requirements are being followed in production.
- Making sure the order is produced according to the approved C/S.
- Performing a follow up on GPQ.
- Always keeping basic requirements for CoC in mind.
Cooperation with PO Teams
- Have a close Co-operation with PO teams and co-operate, co-ordinate and communicate with all concerned PO teams.
- Secure best products for bulk production according to TOD
- Have an open dialogue between the teams to find solutions, effective methods and avoid repeatedly mistakes.
- Give feedback to the PO teams regarding Suppliers/Factories status.
Developments/Quotations
- Analyze the developments/quotations, make sure all is clear.
- Conduct a risk assessment on all samples in initial stage.
- Suggest alternatives in order to reach best fit quality. Work together with Senior/Merch on all requests.
- Suggest which supplier from a technician’s point of view the request should be sent to.
- Get back the quotation from the suppliers and analyze the quality. Check the fitting/workmanship/grading of the garment. Does it look good, H&M product? Send best samples to buyer.
Sample Control
- Check workmanship, measurements & fitting. Identify problems or potential problems on offer sample/style sample.
- Find solutions to solve problems in order to ensure bulk production.
- Check if received sample is improved according to last comments.
Cooperation with H&M Suppliers
- Good knowledge of H&M suppliers technical level (machinery as well as employees skills). Who is good at what!
- Create a good working relation with suppliers’ technicians in order to ensure best final product.
- Encourage H&M suppliers to become more active in finding good technical solutions.
- Educate and support suppliers with the aim of improving H&M’s quality.
- Have a close Co-operation with H&M Suppliers and have a good knowledge of H&M Suppliers’ production set up e.g. production process, machinery, employees’ skills.
- Educate, support Suppliers/Factories practically in their daily work according to H&M requirements.
- Encourage H&M Suppliers to become more active in finding good solutions. To secure best product for bulk production.
- Be a good H&M role model towards Suppliers/Factories.
