POSITION SUMMARY:

Design and improve processes in Retail Fulfillment manufacturing systems from sub-assemblies to final assemblies. Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for process and tooling requirements for new or existing product lines. Knowledge in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) & Overall Equipment Efficiency skill. Skills/Experience: Requires BS/BA Engineering degree or equivalent.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Optimize AOI & labelling machine parameters and setting to achieve optimum performance by utilizing statistical tool

· Provide technical input to related machine development, automation, system and packing design/development to further enhance process capability

· Develop and implement systematic tools to record machine and operation health

· Design layout of equipment or workspaces to achieve maximum efficiency

· Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods

· Drive process automation, continuous improvement and cost saving projects. Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness

· Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts

· Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures

· Key contact person interface between supplier and internal team for machine design and process improvement/enhancement

· Drive engineering meeting and track progression of each project status, prepare reports summarizing information or trends related to manufacturing performance

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications, experience

· BS/BA degree or equivalent with Engineering preferred

· 2+ years related experience in retail product field or equivalent

· Knowledge in Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), recipe management system (RMS), overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and other lean manufacturing methodology

· Knowledge in DOE, SPC, DMAIC, 5 Why, FMEA and SOP.

· Fluent and written in English

· Knowledge in retail manufacturing process

· Knowledge of packing engineering related function and experience of coordination with internal & external customers

· Proficient in standard business application software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· Must be detail oriented and work under pressure.

· Fluent English communication skill and oral expression
