主要工作职责
Reporting to the R&D Innovation Director of CHRD China. Candidates must demonstrate the following characteristics. Enthusiasm, dynamism, self-motivation and the willingness to challenge the science and the status quo and bring forward innovative solutions. Flexible thinker with the interpersonal skills to work in a multidisciplinary environment with colleagues from the Medical, Regulatory, New Product Development and Commercial teams. The ability to coach and mentor staff at several academic and experience levels and to gain the respect of colleagues at different levels in a wide range of disciplines across different cultures. The ability and stamina to handle many different issues at once, often working under the pressure of achieving agreed deadlines. A forward thinking, proactive person who can draw on past experience to make balanced and pragmatic decisions. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Basic qualifications: Graduate degree in science related disciplines such as pharmacology, medical science, pharmacy, pharmaceutical science, physiology, biochemistry, chemistry. Minimum 5 years of industry experience with Ph.D., 8 years of industry experience with MS, and 10 yrs with B.S. R&D experience within healthcare/pharmaceuticals industry, including 5 years working in scientific function(s) related to over-the-counter (OTC) medicines. Candidate with previous experiences in the following areas are preferred: analgesics, respiratory disease prevention and treatment, dermatology, nutrition. Innovative and has the ability to identify novel solutions to technical and non-technical problems. Equally effective comfortable working alone to progress individual responsibilities or operating within a team environment. Understanding of cross-functional roles responsibilities within Consumer Healthcare R&D particularly as applied to progressing projects to proof of principle. Work with the Marketing Innovation Team, Business Development, and Open Innovation Team to identify and create new product opportunities or product improvements which add value to the brands through internal research and the exploitation of external licensing opportunities. In conjunction with Medical Affair, Regulatory Affair, and New Product Development group, design Proof of Principle studies and work to optimize new product opportunities and claims for new ideas and projects. Champion ideas through to evaluation stage. Balance pragmatic approach vs. pure scientific approach in best interests of the business. Initiate and lead applied research or technical evaluations on one or more assigned project. Manage and direct research in line with R&D and commercial category strategy. Minimum 5 years experience of managing multiple projects. Experience of managing external collaborators and achieving results. Proven ability to complete on time and within budget. Evaluate all projects and opportunities with a high degree of scientific rigor, and ensure the highest standards are followed. Write detailed and accurate scientific reports on the evaluation of new product opportunities, and when required, scientific position pieces on aspects of current and new products/ingredients. Publish papers in the scientific and medical literature in support of new product developments, or product defense, as appropriate. Stay current with scientific, regulatory and commercial developments relevant to the field of different OTC categories. Develop and monitor the IP position for the relevant product categories. Maintain commercial and competitive awareness to refine strategy and plans when required. Good communication and technical writing skills, excellent spoken and written English and Mandarin. Computer literate. Preferred qualifications: Ph.D.
