Mission
Be responsible for executing fabric & trimming development and production activities from the respect of engineering.
Main duties
? Support Fabric Development Supervisor to clarify the details of development requests.
? Suggest designated fabric and trimming suppliers to be developed.
? Collect viable samples and cost information as directed by Supervisor.
? Execute fabric and trimming development to achieve both quality compliance and milestone catching. Take full responsibility for achieving FRTP.
? Provide solutions where necessary on how FRTP date could be improved when the lead time is insufficient.
? Provide solutions where necessary on how FRTP could be achieved when there are quality obstacles.
? Track and check shipping samples before delivery as per the quality performance of supplier/fabric, work with supplier to improve the quality performance constantly.
? Support internal and external partners to solve the problem as challenges arise from the respect of engineering.
? Look for ways to improve the efficiency of development and production, in both time and cost respects.
? Develop collaborative relationship with both internal and external partners.
? Assist Supervisor to set up goals, optimize and standardize the fabric development SOP.
? Perform duties as required by DJC and in accordance with company policy, support growth and prosperity of the business according to the company needs
Level knowledge & experience
? College degree or above in Textile Engineering or related discipline
? Minimum of 5 years working experience in textile related field
? Technical understanding of fabric construction, weaving, knitting, dying & finishing
? Excellent color perception and good understanding of color theory related to fabric
? Infant, juvenile, toy related fabric experience is an advantage
? Understanding of United States and European Testing Standards desirable
