Purpose:
Technician is responsible of creating well-designed programs that enable achieving STD efficiency and low waste % on toe-closing knitting machines. Ensure optimal machine operation; maintain downtime at established targets and optimal spare parts usage. In addition, knit sock defect troubleshooting to reduce and/or eliminate sock defects through diagnose, machine calibration and follow up to meet quality standards and minimize fabric waste.

Principal Functions: (Diary, period and eventually functions detail.)
1. Accomplish all the requirements of our quality system (GQS) related to their functions.
a) Known as quality system: Documents, work methods and customer service related to process, product or service.
2. Execute and make achieve EHS dispositions.
3. Responsible for creating and executing style and construction changes established in weekly schedules on toe-closing knitting machines (Lonati & Sangiaccomo models)
4. Install required parts for specific style or construction changeovers.
5. Measure and ensure sock measurements meet established quality specifications.
6. Calibrate, adjust and thread machine properly for requested style.
7. Ensure properly calibration and machine adjustments when style and construction changes are performed.
8. Knit sock defect troubleshooting – reduce and/or eliminate sock defects through diagnose, machine calibration and follow up.
9. Machine set assigned organization and cleaning – metal and spare part collection during shift delivered to stockroom for usage control.
10. Spare parts usage and management.
11. Program continuous improvement revisions and upgrades to ensure best efficiency and machine run ability
12. Execute any additional function that Head Technician requests related to operational assignments/improvements.

3. Once the style change is completed, deliver it to the Supervisor.
4. Deliver to stockroom all the materials we can reuse.
5. Take care of the tools and materials we use for the manual program change.

Materials:

Education
Technical degree in Industrial Mechanical (automotive technician, industrial technician, electronic technician, electrical technician, refrigeration technician).

Required Techniques
1. Technical knowledge of operating socks knitting machines.
2. Yarn type knowledge.
3. Lonati App Grafiton 6T3+ (Quasarl) Design Software programming knowledge
4. Mechanical/Electrical knowledge of Lonati and/or Sangiaccomo Toe-Closing machinery
