The client is a leading female fashion brand with revenue over RMB 1 Billion in China Market.

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is to build and supervise the merchandising team, guide the team to make decisions on buying products in order to maximize sales, inventory turnover; profitability and brand image. Responsible for defining, planning and directing merchandising strategies to ensure product mix meet customer demands while driving the business forward. And also responsible for formulating merchandising plans to incorporate long term strategy and shorter term issues.

- Merchandising & Planning
? Re-structure & re-define merchandising strategies with consideration of inventory, forecasts, cost and sales
? Formulate and execute merchandising selection, range and assortment
? Monitor inventory, delivery and reordering situations to ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained
? Monitor sales and sell through situations and initiate appropriate strategies and tactics to boost sales
? Lead merchandise allocation to DOS and co-ordination with stores and warehouse for stock replenishment issues
? Responsible for markdown activities to liquidate stock at a timely manner
? Conduct competitive analysis on a seasonal basis to ensure our pricing is in line with market demands and trends

- People Management
? Supervise & build team with top talents to develop and grow the department
? Inspire and motivate the team
? Recruit and retain talents
? Foster team building and people development
? Coach and provide constant feedbacks to team members

- Communication
? Partnership with Marketing, Operation Logistics to align merchandising, sales and promotional strategies
and to collect feedback from stores for review and planning of merchandising plans
? Co-ordinate with wholesale department for merchandise issues
? Regular updates and report to CEO on sales performance, merchandise mix, inventory situations and important issues

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree or above, Overseas background will be a plus

- Minimum 8 years of a relevant experience in the retail business (Fashion Better), with solid experience in concept and product design within a retail environment

- Familiar with merchandising process, strong ability of quality control and delivery time control

- Have a strong commercial talent and an aptitude for forthcoming trends

- Have management experience in leading and motivating a team of junior & senior members

- Be capable to work in a fast paced, high-pressured environment

- Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
