职位描述
Key responsibilities
1. Leads, directs and manages the activities of the GSSC in Shenzhen, China and has overall responsibility for ensuring the organization executes efficiently and effectively. Lead and manage a team of 25 to 30 employees with potential to increase up to 50 over time.
2. Responsible for all hiring of personnel within the organization in conjunction with internal business partners who will help define the roles, skills required, and other education and qualifications.
3. Provides day to day management oversight of the organization and is responsible for ensuring that the team is executing to service level agreements (SLA) that have been agreed to with global process owners (GPOs). Functions to manage will include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset Accounting, General Ledger/Intercompany Accounting, and Inventory/Cost Accounting.
4. Responsible for ensuring the organization prepares work product according to company policies, internal control procedures, and requests made by the GPOs. Provide suggestions for improvement back to GPOs as appropriate.
5. Maintain and enhance desktop procedures as processes improve and or change.
6. Responsible for refinement of business processes to strive for improved productivity, accuracy, and reduced cycle times. Work with GPOs to ensure that process improvements and desired changes meet the requirements of the GPOs.
7. Responsible for ensuring that all accounting transactions are compliant and accordance with US GAAP.
8. Ensuring that all transactions are in compliance with the company’s internal controls.
9. Manage and influence for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas within world-wide accounting organization.
10. Develop the organization and ensure that it is scalable for long-term growth and success. Develop managers and employees for future career opportunities and growth.
11. Responsible for in-depth knowledge of the functional areas, strategies for managing a shared service center effectively, and the interdependencies across the businesses and geographies. Regularly interact with senior management, global process owners, peers, and subordinates.
12. Work collaboratively with global cross functional team members within finance and accounting, procurement, order management, sales, human resources, and information technology.
13. Develop, implement, and drive the employee training programs.
Competencies
Interactions will frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with business partners or management, or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization. Skills required will include: Managing vision and purpose, innovation management, decision quality, global business knowledge, managerial courage, comfort around higher levels of management, political savvy, organizational agility.
Pre-Requisites & Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
2. US CPA or an MBA a plus.
3. 10-12 years of experience in a large ($1B+) global decentralized technology hardware manufacturing company.
4. 5+ years of experience managing a global shared services center
5. Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin language skills
6. Strong US GAAP accounting skills and knowledge.
7. Strong systems knowledge (Oracle is preferred, SAP, Hyperion Essbase, Brio, Agile).
8. Strong continuous process improvement skills focusing on automation, standardization.
9. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
10. Strong collaboration and cross functional influencing skills.
11. Must have exceptional leadership abilities and a strong manager that can execute, motivate employees, and develop direct reports and employees.
12. Must be able to work in a high paced team environment.
13. Must have a “can do” attitude.
14. Must be able to travel to other regions and to the Headquarters in California
