1. Electrical Power Engineer

Location: Beijing

Responsibilities:
The candidate must be experienced electrical engineer and extremely knowledgeable with the international electrical codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE and IEC. His experience should cover as minimum the following electrical power equipment: cables, transformers, switchgears and controlgears. He is required to perform the following functions: Initiates and conducts engineering studies, provides effective specialized engineering consultations, and introduces viable technologies and maintains standards. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible in providing technical support to plant operations, new projects activities, or any of Asia offices such procurement or localization initiatives such as the assessments of new manufactures or suppliers .
1. Prepare desk review material for new manufacturer’s approval. This includes the verification of manufacturer compliance with company and qualifications such as certifications, standards and specifications
2. Conduct plant technical assessments in order to qualify new manufacturers, investigates plant deficiency, and issue corrective reports.
3. Provide technical assistance to our existing projects, plants or Asia offices.
4. Develop and review engineering scopes and engineering requests from Asia offices or HQ.
5. Provide technical surveys and analysis regarding manufactures capabilities and compliance with international standards and mandatory standards and requirements
6. Provide new technologies in his specialty to improve operation, energy or efficiency
Requirements:
1. 12+ years working experience, preferably worked with international engineering firms, oil and gas industry or similar process industry.
2. With 10 years work experience and specific knowledge in electrical power equipment: cables, transformers, switchgears and controlgears.
3. You will have a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and be highly familiar with international electrical codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE and IEC.
4. You will qualify new manufacturers of electrical equipment against standards and specifications, prepare prequalification packages, investigate manufacturer failures, issue corrective actions, provide technical support, prepare or review engineering scopes and provide new technologies to improve efficiency or energy consumption.
5. To excel in this role you will have the capability to conduct electrical studies in motor starting, short circuit analysis, grounding and load calculations, and simulations.
6. Fluent oral and written English.
7. Extremely knowledgeable with E-TAP software.
