POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs worldwide supply, inventory, and distribution activities for organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for worldwide supply chain
? Develop, implement and continually refine the worldwide distribution infrastructure by establishing and monitoring key metrics.
? Implement landed costs program for import/exports.
? Develop a Multi-plant capacity and scheduling system.
? Set metrics and programs to measure and improve the world wide supply chain performance.
? Provide leadership for purchasing, production scheduling, inventory management, documentation, warehousing, and traffic areas.
? Coordinate department interaction with other departments such as production, sales, accounting, and branch locations.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Minimum 10 years Supply Chain Management experience and a minimum of 5 years direct management experience.
Best in class purchasing experience.
Multi-plant planning and distribution experience.
Excellent English verbal and written skills.
PC proficiency with variety of business software applications.
Experience with developing and managing departmental budgets.
Working knowledge of MRP, DRP, Finite Scheduling, Rough Cut Capacity planning and standard inventory control practices.
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
Project management.
Plastic industry background is perfered.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Directs Distribution Planning, Production Control, Data Base Management, Documentation, Traffic and Purchasing through direct reports in Mexico, America and China.
