Participate and work closely with developers at various stages functional spec, design reviews to develop
testplans,tools, utilities.
Write detail feature testplans, Design Test bed design, test topologies.
Develop Tcl/Expect scripts for automated testing. Investigate script failures in automated testbeds;
modify scripts/libraries and log product defects as needed.
Initiate and participate in efforts to improve group productivity and test effectiveness.
Provide feedback and contribute in test plan development, resource allocation planning, and test process
definition/improvement.
Facing customer on high visible technical issues.
Understanding deployment scenarios after talking to customers and come up with test plans based on that.
Taking part in discussions with customers on providing solutions to them.
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years experience in Software Quality Assurance Engineer having experience in applying testing
methodologies, create test plans, execute and automate test cases; perform system testing, bug tracking and
report generation
At least 2 years experience in Layer 2: Hands-on experience with L2 Switching protocols like VLAN, STP,
MSTP, RSTP, LACP, trunking
At least 2 years experience in Layer 3: Hands on experience on OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, ISIS, MPLS, QOS, Traffic
engineering, Policy Based routing, PIM,Gateway routing protocol, VRRP, DVMRP
At least 2 years experience in Hands on experience on complex deployments/System Tests
At least 2 years experience in Technology: FC, FCoE, CEE, FIPS, VMWare, SDN, TRILL. Experienced in
atleast 3 of these technologies
At least 2 years experience in Traffic tools: IXIA, Spirent, Smartbits, Agilent Router Tester, QA Robot,
Test Harness: Fanfare iTest
At least 2 years experience in Interop: Exposure to Juniper, Foundry, Nortel, Cisco 7200, 7600,Catalyst
6500, Nexus 5000, Nexus 7000, GSR, HFR routers.Debugging exposure in areas of packet flow, kernel, memory,
SNMP, XML, hard ware
At least 2 years experience in Automation & Languages: TCL, iTCL, Perl, C , C++
Working knowledge of OS: Linux , Windows Server
English: Intermediate
