This position is responsible for developing the annual operating plans for China's stores ensuring Stakeholder targets are in line with both Corporate financial targets and investment returns objectives. The analyst collaborates with Senior Directors and Directors of Region in identifying key trends and operational issues effecting Regional financial performance on a USD $3 to 5 billion business. They monitoring performance against targets and recommending corrective actions to ensure financial goals are achieved.
1. Develop annual operating plans for assigned expenses by collaborating with stakeholders and accounting for impacts of Regulatory changes and Contractual obligations. Develops annual Operating Plans for stores in assigned regions, ensuring alignment with corporate and investment goals. Store annual operating plans are used to align store bonus programs with Corporate objectives.
2. Minimize financial risk by developing and communicating to management, updated financial projections for assigned P&L accounts, as well as for specific operating Region by analyzing historical performance trends, collaborating with key stakeholders and updating for new known legislative and/or economic impacts.
3. Provide financial expertise, recommendations and support to DO's and their respective store management teams, by reviewing and explaining financial results. Communicate/Educate Regional Management teams on processes to better help them manage their businesses and improve company results. Also provides financial support and reporting to various Home Office departments including Real Estate, Store Planning, Fixtures, Maintenance, etc. throughout the year.
4. Supports the monthly Operations P&L close and reporting process by analyzing and providing variance commentary against control scenarios (Plan, Last Year, Forecast), ensuring accuracy in financials.
5. Develops and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
6. Develop, enhance or support implementation of financial processes that improve operational performance and/or creates efficiencies in the business.
7. Provide communication of financial performance creating and distributing various management reports

> Strong organizational and analytical skills
> Subject matter expertise in store operations SG&A planning
> Able present and communicate information to customers and next one levels management.
> Able to interact at in Operations DO and DM levels
> Able to interprate analytical findings and present the different perspectives to persuade customers.
> Strong interpersonal, people skills (Wal-Mart Culture, work across functions, etc.)
> Strong financial system knowledge
