Responsibilities:-
1. Search, identify and shortlist potential suppliers for the business needs
2. Ensure full contract review were conducted at the beginning stage
3. Bargain with suppliers on the price, payment, quality and delivery terms etc to finalize purchasing contract
4. Project management, coordinate all steps from RFQ and sample trials to production
5. Work with the team to ensure suppliers meet quality and delivery requirements
6. Drive suppliers for continuous improvement
7. Accomplish buying tasks and cost reduction target

Requirements:-
1. Workable oral and written English skill
2. Bachelor in Engineering ideally major in mechanical or electronics
3. 8+ years experience in technical purchasing/strategy procurement role within manufacturing ideally in western engineering company
4. PC literate with working experience using email, internet, office tools etc
5. Knowledgeable of engineering drawings and specifications including geometric tolerance
6. Good understanding of quality systems and process control
7. Strong commercial acumen and a working knowledge of export regulations and logistics
8. Broad knowledge of manufacturing in the following fields and related supply chains in China and the surrounding territories
a) Printed Circuit Boards and electronic components
b) Cable & Cable Assembly (Raw material, looms & termination)
c) Machining of metals (milling, turning, grinding etc)
d) Metal fabrication (Sheet metal, welding, chemical etching)
e) Motors (small dc low voltage)
f) Optical components (prisms, lenses, gratings etc)
g) Ceramics (engineering components)
h) Gears & bearings (small, precision balls & rollers)
i) Packaging (cardboard, wooden instrument casing)
j) Printing (brochures, data sheets, product guides etc)
9. Willing to travel up to approx. 20% of working time
10. Result oriented, team player, honest and self motivated
