Description

Job Description: Designs and develops electronic or electromechanical equipment or systems oriented products and prepares related installation, operation, and maintenance specifications and instructions, analyzes equipment to establish operating data and conducts experimental tests, analyzes engineering proposals and related technical data to determine feasibility of assigning new equipment or modifying existing equipment. Responsible for prototype construction and checkout, complies operational data and prepares customer application information. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Qualifications

Qualifications - Education
Minimum B.S. in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science

Qualifications - Experience
Knowledge of software concepts in datacenter, cloud and traditional server architectures including APIs, tools and ecosystem.
Experience in server, network configuration and administration in Linux, Windows Server. A plus for knowledge in ESX and OpenStack implementations.
Five years of direct experience supporting IT solutions in F500 corporate accounts.
Knowledge of enterprise solutions, corporate Information Technology (IT), Intel architecture and competitive rack solutions.
Recent experience in managing and troubleshooting enterprise level storage (iSCSI, SATA, SAS and FC) and enterprise Ethernet networking infrastructure products including Cisco or Brocade routers and switches.
Minimum 3 or more years of direct customer interaction in a technical support role.
3 or more years' experience in post-silicon validation, system architecture, platform design, firmware or software development.
Strong debug skills including experience working with and analyzing output from test equipment.
Software design, development, and debug knowledge.

Skills
Experience working in traditional server and cloud based languages (C, C++, Java, Python) and environments
Work collaboratively with customers, partners to define specific hardware and software solutions based on RSA
Answer software development and API questions related to using the Intel Rack Scale Architecture and SW.
Conduct customer meetings, provide HW/SW technical information to enable customer development, and triage customer issues. Resolve issues and answering questions by leveraging Intel engineering teams.
Represent customers' needs to Intel product development, planning and architecture teams.
Create and maintain data sheets, specifications, design guides and application notes.
Develop and present technical product training materials when opportunities arise.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers of all skill levels (novice thru expert) are essential.
Strong influencing and customer orientation skills
Interest in staying current on emerging Cloud Service Provider trends and issues
