Sr. Software Engineer for Visual Cloud System - 752564
Description
The Visual Cloud Computing Team is part of the Cloud Platforms Group in the Data Center Group. In this position, you will be a part of the Visual Cloud Solutions Engineering team to develop and drive adoption of visual cloud solutions that use state-of the-art Intel technologies.
Visual Cloud Systems Engineers are responsible for designing, writing and testing the software ingredients required to complete Visual Cloud solution stacks. Most frequently, this involves the creation of connectors, plug-ins, web-based user interfaces, databases, provisioning/management scripts, test tools/scripts, load generators, data collectors and other software components required to fully integrate and test a solution stack across Intel, OEM, ISV and end user hardware and software ingredients. Occasionally, they will develop a larger prototype or beta ingredient when no suitable Intel or ecosystem ingredient is available.
Duties will include design, development, and testing of visual cloud solutions (esp. video delivery solutions using Intel media and graphics technologies). Individual will work with ecosystem partners to integrate end-end solutions for strategic video delivery usages within public/private cloud data centers. Individual will also be required to work closely with Intel field and end users to conduct technical and production proof points and then convert those proof points to design wins and deployments. Some domestic and international travel will e required.
Qualifications
Required:
1.Master's or Ph. D in Computer Science, or Communication Engineering or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience
2.At least 5+ years in software development, integration and test.
3.Hands-on experience in relevant Visual Cloud technology.
a.Video Codecs and Transcoding Solutions (e.g., MPEG2, AVC, HEVC)
b.Graphics Processing (e.g., OpenGL, DirectX)
c.Heterogeneous Compute (e.g., OpenCL)
4.Experience developing with cloud software technologies (e.g.,Java/C++/C#/C, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/PHP/Python, .NET, Linux/Windows scripting, SQL and REST APIs from Cloud, Virtualization solutions like vSphere and OpenStack.)
5.Experience working with external Intel partners and customers.

Description
