Sr. SDN Software Engineer - 752560
Description
In this position, you will join the Intel Communications and Storage Infrastructure Group (CSIG) Software Engineering Division under CSIG/DCG (Datacenter Group).You will work closely with local and U.S Architects and contribute to SDN open source community projects (e.g. Openstack, OpenDaylight, OpenvSwitch and DPDK). The primary responsibility includes leading a small engineering tasks force to finish big feature and decide/influence long term SDN/NFV technical directions on IA Architecture.
Qualifications
Basic requirements:
1.Master degree or PHD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
2.Minimum of 10 year experience on packet processing, TCP/IP and Linux networking internals.
3.In-depth understanding of Linux/FreeBSD like system and Internals.
4.In-depth understanding of computer architecture such as Intel Architecture.
5.Fluent English reading, writing and speaking skills
Added Advantage:
1.Understanding of SDN/NFV and solid working knowledge of OpenvSwitch, OVSDB, Openflow, and networking tunneling protocols (e.g. VxLAN, NVGRE).
2.Overall understanding of Intel architecture-based servers systems with knowledge of one or more of the following: microprocessor architecture, Enterprise/Cloud Networking
3.Performance tuning and workload optimization, Linux profiling tools.
4.Experience in OS Networking subsystem and network and system performance optimizations.
5.Proficiency in networking protocol and device architectures (NICs, routers, switches, virtual switches, network devices like load balancer, NAT, firewall, etc).
