TITLE: Sales Executive-Bakery
LOCATION: Beijing (home base)
REPORT TO: Sales Manager, North China
Our client is a leading manufacturer of paper, board and film based packaging products for a diverse range of customers. It employs around 2,300 people worldwide in offices and factories strategically located to support its customer’s operations and future growth. An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Sales Executive to join their sales division of the Group, supplying disposable packaging to the bakery industry.
They are seeking an achievement focused, motivated, and hardworking Sales Executive to continue to build their marketing in Beijing for the company. Reporting to the Sales Manager – North China and working with the support of a customer service team, this role will focus on developing new business through cold calling targeted companies in the bakery industry.
PURPOSE:
Plan, drive and execute activity to increase product penetration and improve margins within the local market, and achieve sales, and margin targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Achieve or better Sales Budgets and Gross Margin Budgets for relevant Sales Area(s), being accountable for same.
? Identify, qualify and sell to relevant customers and prospects, focusing on product/market applications consistent with Company guidelines.
? Develop and maintain close contact with relevant customer companies, ensure good business relationships between both parties, and promote a positive image of the Company.
? Recommend and implement selling tactics that will ensure that Company supply share is maintained and improved at relevant customers.
? Ensure the Company has the opportunity to quote for all relevant new packaging requirements, and for existing requirements where a real possibility exists for a change in supply status, where these requirements are within Company capabilities and consistent with sales guidelines.
? Ensure supply proposals or quotations are presented to customers and prospects in an appropriately creative and professional manner and consistent with Company sales guidelines.
? Maintain an awareness of movements and developments within all industries (and competitors) associated with our Company\s products.
? Liaise with customer, Production and Marketing personnel to ensure smooth supply continuity, negotiating best compromise where necessary.
? Collect, collate and disseminate information to the Manager in relation to competitor activity, market information, market trends and products development.
? Create Account Plans and conduct regular reviews against objectives for strategic customers agreed with General Manager China.
? Ensure all transactions and dealings on behalf of company are made in accordance with all Company policies and procedures including Cash on Delivery (CODs), Customer Stock Holding and Pricing Guidelines (Price List, Price Deviation and Print Rate Supplements).
? Operate and maintain company vehicle and mobile phone in line with company policy.
? Timely and accurate completion of all reporting as requested by the Sales Director- China.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
? University degree in any discipline;
? Min 5 years sales experience, prior work experiences in the printing or paper packaging industry field would be an asset but not required;
? Prior experience selling to the bakery industry;
? Able to penetrate new market segments and creat new sales generation;
? Possess an outgoing personality, good interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact at all levels;
? Aggressive, self-committed and able to work independently;
