Manufacturing Engineer - Packaging and Process Engineer

Description:

This position focus on Sandisk retail products packaging design and process continues improvement, co-working with NPI, production, logistics and agencies to ensure the safety and logistic compliance meet relevant requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

- Wrapping standard and packaging process control plan implement to ensure product safety and quality in shipment and transportation.

- Packaging design and co-work with internal/external team on new product launch/ramp up.

- Packaging material development, qualification, conversion and maintenance for manufacturing

- Vendor management and qualification.

- New automation packaging equipment qualification and localization.

- BOM maintenance

- Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes within the Retail Fulfillment Operation: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods (Packing Assembly), utilizing knowledge of product packing design, materials and parts, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

- Confers with NPI and packing design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

- Utilize proven Lean Manufacturing-based analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving abilities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, lead-time reduction, and quality improvement while improving employee safety.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree or above, major in Packaging Engineering, mechanical Engineering relevant.

- 3 years above direct working experience in logistic packaging function of consuming electronics industry

- Strong software skills of AutoCAD/Solid workers/Mini Tab/SPC or other design tools

- Strong knowledge of wrapping qualification and general standard

- Familiar with automation packaging machine and related standard process

- Engineering Project Management experience

- Good English both in verbal and writing.
