职位描述

GENERAL SUMMARY: Develop, execute and communicate strategic merchandise financial plans and strategies that support the merchandising, marketing and financial objectives of one or more departments. Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom line profitability. May also be asked to manage activities and career development of one or more of the Merchandise Planning Analysts.

Language: Fluency in English is a must, Mandarin preferred and Shanhaigese is a plus


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. OPERATIONS/FINANCIAL:
? Manage the financial success of one or more departments by meeting sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment (GMROI) and inventory turn goals.
? Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by department and class.
? Collaborate with merchandising to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities by department and class.
? Create pre-season sales, gm, and inventory plans by department and class that support product strategies.
? Reconcile top-down to bottom-up class plans.
? Recap and analyze actual sales results to plan, and forecast in-season sales and inventories on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis.
? Identify risks and opportunities to business and recommend strategies to achieve financial goals.
? Own open to buy forecasts. Present financial forecast and supporting action plans in open to buy/monthly forecast meeting
? Re-forecast sales and manage inventory for all basic styles to meet department financial goals.
? Develop and communicate department level markdown recommendations and strategies.
? Participate in company and brand initiatives as appropriate.

2. COMMUNICATION:
? Communicate financial results, forecasts, and action plans to manager and cross-functional team on a weekly basis.
? Present financial plans, forecasts and strategies in key meetings.
? Communicate standards and performance expectations to direct reports in a timely manner.

3. PEOPLE LEADERSHIP/RELATIONSHIPS:
? Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers and cross-functional team.
? Provide manager with timely feedback on personal developmental and training needs.
? Actively participate in new hire training and assist in peer development (P&D training, RMP).
? Recognize and acknowledge quality performance.
? Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, share best-practices and develop systems knowledge.
? May manage and support the career development process of one or more Planning Analysts to ensure job satisfaction, retention and future talent development (PP&A, IDP).
? May provide timely feedback and direction to direct reports to foster rapid skill development and performance improvement.


ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:
? Develop and maintain effective working relationships with members of cross-functional team (merchandising, distribution, visual, production, planning, company planning).
? Prioritize and set expectations around key deliverables with cross-functional team and peers.
? Develop cross-divisional relationships to share best practices.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
? Able to negotiate with and influence peers and members of cross-functional team
? Able to build and maintain productive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams
? Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
? Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
? Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills
? Able to formally present business strategies and action plans
? Demonstrates logical analysis and problem solving skills
? Possesses a clear understanding of financial measurements which could include; sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment (GMROI), weeks on hand (WOH), weeks of supply (WOS), etc. and how to impact them
? Facility with personal computers, including the ability or aptitude to learn technical applications quickly
? Proficient with Microsoft Excel
? Language: Fluency in English is a must, Mandarin preferred and Shanhaigese/Japanese a plus.

2. Minimum educational level:
? Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required

3. Previous experience desired:
? 1-2 years experience as a Planning Analyst or equivalent
? 1-3 years of retail buying, planning or related analytical experience

4. Physical Requirements:
? Must be able to operate a computer
? Willingness to travel overseas
