Accountability

• Constant optimization and execution of agreed buying and market strategy (procurement strategy)
• Drive global best buy, global best in-price and global on-time delivery
• Develop, analyze and follow up the production market capability with support from the team

Main Responsibilities

• Set and follow up that the components are developed and produced at the right market to secure best product and best buy that the components and products are developed and produced at the right market to secure best product and best buy
• Initiate, drive and follow up preseason and strategy process on product type and brand level
• Initiate component & product developments and quotations acc. to set strategy short and long term
• Drive in-price competition globally
• Seek knowledge about production markets capability, skill & capacity and make constant risk and consequence analysis
• Secure maintained or shorten global lead time according to strategy
• Provide feedback and missions to production markets, short and long term, in cooperation with the relevant Global Product Manager
• Solve problems in production without Buying Office involvement (if no effect on In Price, In Shop Week, Flex or Quantity)

Education and Experience requirements

• Education preferably in textile or business
• Working with the different products, components & markets
• Preferably minimum 8 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge and Skills requirements
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Good knowledge about production markets concerning price, quality, capacity, capabilities and lead times
• Strong knowledge of product development & purchasing process, working method and timeline
• Strong price knowledge
• Working with the different products, components & markets
• Understanding the merchandising and buying procedure, product development, quotation and follow up
