Accountability

The Purchasing controller is responsible for providing analysis, prognosis and actions for the customer group’s performance on: price, lead-time, quality, market strategy execution and quality in order to achieve the best global deal. You will contribute to plan purchasing in a way the meets company buying needs, benefits from supply chain opportunities, handles risk and secures long term expansion and sustainability in purchasing.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and summarize seasonal and annual KPIs
• Based on the KPIs; support in setting seasonal market allocation/strategy together with the GPC/GPM/Purchasing manager/PR
• Actively seek and understand company focus areas and needs of better buying
• In collaboration with Buying Office secure seasonal planning, bought levels, profitability matters, development focuses etc
• Based on customer needs, with PR/Purchasing Manager create development missions to supply chain and follow up upon it
• Secure proactive strategic planning of purchasing and execution of it
• Together with the team, set relevant action plans and goals
• Secure that business short term drive is aligned with the long-term strategy
• Support the main market team in analyzing product category data to identify opportunities and potential risk factors – consolidating and communicating results to the organization and the management
• Receive/act on continuous updates from the regional supply chains regarding changing purchasing conditions that could affect production
• Based on continuous business analysis; proactively communicate current situation, opportunities for improvement and threats to the GPC, Purchasing Manager/MMC and the Business Controller Supply Chain
• Together with the GPC/HPC secure that processes, methods and controlling tools are continuously improved
• Drive close cooperation and motivate the department teams towards their goals
• Plan and for future controller needs and challenges together with the GPC/HPC

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in International Business, Finance, Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional work experience
• Experience of studying/working in an international environment preferably abroad
• Experience of working with garments collections/buying and/or supply chain is a plus
• Strong ability to communicate complex data/information in a simple way by using tools such as excel
• Excellent written and spoken English
