Main Responsibilities

ROUTINES
· Send cuttings and reflectance values of the standard colours to suppliers when artworks/standard colours are received.
· Evaluate lab dips, c/s and bulk instrumentally and visually together with merchandiser to decide whether to approve or not.
· Use OFS for all registration and follow up of tests.
· Keep the colour machines in good condition.
· Keep all standard colour books updated.
· Colour Technician shall manage at least 20 in the “Colour Vision test”, preferably “Superior”.
COOPERATION WITH OTHER TEAMS
· Work closely with QAC, R&D team & merch team to analyze potential colour problems already in development stage.
· Support Merch team to solve colour problems which might occur during order follow up.
· Inform all office in case there are changes in H&M Colour Guide Book.
· Cooperate closely within the team with lab tech. and the chemist.
· Suggest QC and other teams to take the “Colour Vision test”.
COOPERATION WITH SEBO QUALITY DEPARTMENT AND OTHER PO’S
· Keep a close cooperation with H&M Colour responsible and update them on local projects/possible new ways to solve/avoid previous problems.
· Support colour projects initiated by SEBO Quality Department.
· Keep close contact with other PO Colour technicians in order to share experience and learn from each other.
COOPERATION WITH H&M SUPPLIERS
· Educate suppliers on how to comply with H&M Colour Guide Book in the best way.
· Make audits of dye mills, print houses, washing facilities etc.
· Evaluate the suppliers and give material/feedback to PM/seniors/merch and the suppliers.
COOPERATION WITH EXTERNAL PARTIES
· Communicate with chemical companies and make new external contacts necessary to solve problems.

Requirements:
Education
Graduate from textile or technical high school, preferably chemistry dept. or chemistry engineering dept. of university.
Work experience
Preferably experience in textile lab, dye house, print house, dye stuff company or similar position in supplier or representative office. Color technicians must have a superior color vision. (should have a score of max 16. Fornworth in munsell 100 hue color test.)
