SUMMARY:
Lead and manage a team of 5 to 12 software engineers. Work closely with the manager to build up, maintain and improve the competencies of the team. Educate and equip the team members with the proper process knowledge and technical skills. Work closely with TPM to provide the technical support for the project from the software perspective, including: quotation, resource arrangement, technologies, design and engineering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Lead and manage a project team of 2 to 6 software engineers. Work with manager to build up the team, maintain and improve the team competencies according to company’s business requirements.
2. Get familiar with the Jabil Culture, business, policy and process, and fulfill the company policy and process in the team management and project activities. Feedback and improve the development process and management continuously.
3. Educate and equip the software engineers with the proper process knowledge and technical skills. Communicate with the team members to pass the company spirit and collect the feedback.
4. Work with manager and/or technical project manager to provide information that will aid in the initial quoting process.
5. Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide competitive and cost effective designs.
6. Assigned to a project and be responsible for the software design and development.
7. Follow the direction of manager.
8. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
9. Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
10. Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Has Bachelor or above degree with 6 years software development experience, including at least 3 years project management experience.
2. Be proficient in embedded software development process and methods; success experience in product development and team management.
3. Software development experience required in at least one of these areas and preferably more than one: telecom, data-com, security, wireless, pc/server/storage, consumer electronics, automotive and medical
4. Strong software programming background. Familiar with embedded software development under Windows and Linux. Experienced in at lease two of these operating systems: Embedded Linux, Android, Windows CE.
5. Well understood the software development process and procedure.
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Creative, self-motivated, responsible, good team work spirit. Work independently with minimum supervision.
8. Familiar with FDA Medical device software-Software life cycle processes such as 510(k) submission etc. and good understanding of Clinical Information Systems or Medical Algorithm such as ECG, Sp02 etc. is a big plus.
9. Have experiences on software testing is a big plus, such as software testing planning, software system and unit testing, software testing cases and reports.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Has ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Has ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Has Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Fluent written and spoken English required.
