Job Summary
Experienced Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Programmers to join our maintenance team and make sure Gestamp plant equipments PLC programs fulfill our requirements and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for PLC machinery buy-off checking o Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT’s), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT’s).
- Provide technical insight to machinery sourcing team in sourcing process
- Trouble-shooting and Solution
- Must be familiar with PLC systems and master the key technical parameters and be able to provide problem solving solutions
- Must be able to identify potential technical problems and risks
- Lead critical problem solving process by leveraging the resources of plant maintenance team and suppliers, responsible for proposal, process and costs, minimizing the impact caused by the incident
- Maintenance and Improvement
- Improve the equipment effectiveness through regular research, analysis

Qualifications and Requirements –
- Advanced Programming Experience in Programmable Logic Controllers (Siemens 7-300 and Simotion systems - Control Network setup and function testing e.g. (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.)
- Very experienced with start up support, system commissioning, and system troubleshooting.
- Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of: o Instrument Location plans
- PLC Panel layouts o I/O (Input/Output) Wiring Diagrams
- Vendor supplied documentation
- Loop Diagrams - Familiarity with many aspects of systems integration (including PLC, HMI, instrumentation, networking, communication, power distribution).
- Robot programming Kuka, ABB - 5 plus years of experience
- 3 plus years of Manufacturing or Engineering experience, Automotive industry is preferred –
- University Diploma in related discipline or equivalent experience
- Strong functional and technical Skills
- Good communication and negotiation skill
